An international conference co-organized by Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (GUASNR) and Chiang Mai University (CMU)
The first International Conference of Innovative Aquaculture is to be held on April 16-17, 2024. The conference is a hybrid conference and participant can present their accepted papers online. ICIA is the name for a series of conferences that is planned to be held yearly by GUASNR and CMU. The first conference is based in Gorgan, Golestan Province, Iran. The theme will be "Blue farming; sustainable and healthy protein for next generations". ICIA is the premier event that brings together a unique and International mix of experts including scientists, researchers, and decision-makers both from academia and industry across the globe to exchange their knowledge, experience, and research innovations. Aquaculture is a Major Field in modern food supply. According to the FAO, aquaculture "is understood as the farming of aquatic organisms including fish, mollusks, crustaceans, and aquatic plants. Farming implies some form of intervention in the rearing process to enhance production, such as regular stocking, feeding, protection from predators, etc.
ICIA will cover the new research techniques and concentrate on the novel approaches in various aspects of finfish and shellfish aquaculture. It also covers the increase in the need for demanding seafood. Aquaculture brings basic and advanced research of Developmental, Toxicological, and Transgenic aspects.
To keep aquaculture sustainable blue farming must be highlighted; let's discuss the approaches in ICIA 2024
