Purpose : The purpose of this study is to substitute chemical compounds like malachite green for the aloe vera extract to control and improve the clinical science and immunity of rainbow salmon infected with Saprolegnia parasitica. Method: 180 fish, weighing 22±0/27g in 4 experimental groups, 2 negative and positive control group, were scaled from the disease-prone caudal stalk, measuring 30 x 6mm.The fish were then immersed in a solution containing 3 x105 zoospores/L of the fungus for 4h, and the test tanks were shifted. at least 10% of the fish in each treatment showed clinical signs of saprolegniasis, short-term bathing was carried out using doses of 50, 100, 150, and 200m/l of aloe vera extract, and it was done every day(1h in day) for two weeks. Calipers were used to measure the area of the wounds on days 0, 7, 14,while other factors were measured on days 7 and 14. Results: Group 100 had the greatest concentration of white and red blood cells, the lowest concentration of heterophils, and the highest concentration of lymphocytes, including monocytes, eosinophils, and basophils (P < 0.05). On the fourteenth day, the group receiving 100mg/L had the least amount of wound area compared to the other groups receiving the extract. This reduction in wound area and clinical science was noted in the positive control group. Conclusions: The findings demonstrated that giving rainbow trout with saprolegniasis a short-term bath with 100mg/l extract of aloe vera improved both the disease's clinical science and the non-specific immune system. |
