Abstract |
Considering that about 75% of the valuable fish stocks in the oceans have been limited due to overfishing in order to meet the increasing demand for food and considering the reduction of natural fish stocks, it is necessary to create sustainable alternatives that bear the major share of production. It is the aquaculture sector (Nagshinehfard et al., 2019). Therefore, the aquaculture industry should be developed all over the world, and this development in a country like Iran, which is considered one of the regions with low rainfall in the world and its water resources are limited, should be accompanied by improving the efficiency of using water resources for to achieve sustainable development in the aquaculture sector. important goal in sustainable aquaculture is to reduce the amount of water consumed. Mechanized systems reduce the amount of water consumed by reusing water after a series of treatments, and in terms of energy consumption, it is very important in systems with water recirculation to reduce the amount of energy consumed as much as possible by using higher efficiency pumps. The goal is to achieve the same amount of production with less energy, or to increase the amount of production with the same amount of energy. The aquaculture system can be sustainable when the breeding activity is efficient and profitable and produces an acceptable yield, and the breeding system and its products are accepted by consumers (Badiola et al., 2017). |
