Abstract
Objective: the most important ways to increase water efficiency in fish farming is the correct use of technology
Materials and methods: 30 farms were randomly selected. necessary documents regarding consumption and production inputs were prepared. Then mechanization index and regression between this index and the efficiency of selected farms were estimated.
Findings: The average efficiency of fish farming systems was found to be
0.95 ± 0.08 using data coverage analysis. most of the inputs were consumed in a balanced way, except for electricity. The regression relationship showed that only the management score is a predictor of technical efficiency
Conclusion: equipment used was very different from the desired equipment. Also, the management of aquaculture farmers in the use of existing equipment and their working methods had caused different efficiencies, and the most important action to improve the existing conditions is the use of government capacities to train aquaculture farmers in the use of new technologies and the correct management of the use of these technologies. It is possible that
this conclusion is in accordance with the conclusions obtained in several
similar studies
